Obituary for Louise Dale Hawkins

Louise Dale Hawkins
Mrs. Louise Dale Hawkins was born June 12, 1925 in Port Gibson Mississippi,
and passed from this life on January 13, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 92.
She was a sweet lady and loving matriarch to a crazy wonderful family,
She loved playing bridge with her friends on Thursday nights.
She loved breakfast, her favorite meal; bacon and eggs. She would gladly substitute a whole cheesecake or a box of see’s candy for a meal and would never turn down a juicy bit of gossip.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Milo Monroe Hawkins and son Mark Hawkins.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Lord and Terry Duncan; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
She was the glue and the strength that got us all through tough times and she will be dearly missed by anyone that ever met her.
Grandkids favorite memories are:
Jamie and David. She introduced us to chocolate mint ice cream and it’s still our favorite.
Dayna. When she signed up for snorkeling, with no intention of going, just to spend time with Krystal and me.
Wendy. She was a good listener and always made me feel special.
Jody. When Granny, mom and I went to the zoo and granny fed Gatorade to the hippopotamus.
Mariah. Granny is one of the good and constant things in all our lives.
I remember when Granny and I would sneak me into the bathroom to eat candy cause mom would not allow it.
David and Wendy would like to thank granny for taking us to the Toys R Us parking lot to teach us to drive, even the time when David almost crashed her 65 Mustang.
