Lucille Benson
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Benson of Monroe, LA will be 11:00am Friday, August 11, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Ouachita City Cemetery in Sterlington, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00am until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Benson was born December 17, 1924 in Choudrant, LA and passed from this life on August 6, 2017 in Monroe, LA at the age of 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hosa B. Benson; her parents, Cornelius and Clydie Allen; her children, Shirley Rice, Ricky Benson, Gloria Aron, Jimmy Benson and Steve Benson; and her siblings, Gladys Fields, Lois Fields, Leon Allen and E.J. Allen.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Lee Benson of Shreveport, Betty Ann Watson of Oak Ridge, Billy Benson of Monroe, Brenda Kay Laffoon of West Monroe and Carolyn Lucille Benson of Dallas, TX; also survived by 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
