Graveside funeral services for Christine Brown of Monroe, LA will be 12:00pm Monday, March 20, 2017 at Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:30am Monday, March 20, 2017 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel Monroe, La.
Christine Brown was born December 28, 1931 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on March 17, 2017 in Swartz, LA at the age of 85. She was retired from the University of Monroe, where she worked in food services.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodic Lee Brown. Christine joined him in rest on their wedding anniversary.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Sharon Traxler of Swartz, LA and Rita Gail Young also of Swartz, LA; five grandchildren, Christine Hemphill, Rachael Hudnall, Brandi Blocker, William Dampler, and Lisa Greenway; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
