Kenneth “Mike” DeSoto
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth “Mike” DeSoto of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. DeSoto was born August 20, 1960 in LeCompte, LA and passed from this life on February 15, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 56. He was a resident of West Monroe for 30 years, a member of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his “PawPaw”, James Wesley Robinson and his grandmother, Ethel Robinson.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Penny Denise DeSoto Ward; his children, Joshua DeSoto, Michael “Casey” DeSoto, and Christian DeSoto; his grandchildren, Jayme, Jonah, Bentley, Mason and Corbin; his mom, Shirley Carolyn Robinson his dad, Kenneth Clarence DeSoto and step-mother, Suanna; his siblings, James, Pam, Scott, Shannon, Christie and Joseph; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ashby Tedder, Kenneth Trim, Austyn Bartmess, Cameron Bartmess, Joseph DeSoto, Samuel Taylor and Chad DeSoto.
