Funeral services for Mr. Hal Luke Roy, truck driver, of Choudrant, LA, will be 2:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant with Bro. Chris Witt and Bro. DeWayne Monk officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service Saturday at the church.
Mr. Roy was born December 30, 1963 in Marksville, LA and passed from this life on January 11, 2017 in Ruston, LA at the age of 53.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Ruth Roy; sister, Wanda Travasos; and brother, Joe Roy.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Roy of Choudrant; son, Joseph Luke Roy of Choudrant; sister, Anita Gordon of Lake Charles; brother, David Roy of Lake Charles; two sisters-in-law, Vickey Currington and Tina Aulds; three brothers-in-law, Steven Travasos, Paul McGuyer and Mike McGuyer; mother-in-law, Shirley McGuyer; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steven Travasos, Paul McGuyer Rusty Marcus, Keith George, Jeff Posey and Joe Robertson.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Griffin Funeral Home in order to offset the cost of the funeral service.
