Funeral services for Rev. Peggy Darlene Platt of Harrisonburg, LA will be 10:30am Friday, August 19, 2016 at Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg with Rev. Brent Randall, Rev. Charles Curry, Rev. C.R. Nugent, Rev. Kenneth Patten, Rev. Joel Boothe, Rev. Carl Boothe and Rev. Jase Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Ellis Boothe Cemetery near Harrisonburg under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the church.

Rev. Platt was born June 19, 1933 in Harrisonburg, LA and passed from this life on August 15, 2016 in Harrisonburg, LA at the age of 83.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elmer Douglas; her parents, Melvin and Gladys Boothe; one son, Evel Douglas; three brothers, Alfred Boothe, Alvin Boothe and Kence Boothe; and his brother-in-law, Rev. Roy Breithaupt.

Survivors include his son, Boyd Douglas and wife Dee Dee of Waynesboro, PA; one daughter-in-law, Betty Douglas of Olla; step-children, Janell Cassell, Margie Cox and husband Doyle and Virginia Boothe and husband Darryl all of West Monroe; two sisters, Maxine Breithaupt and Joy Wilson and husband Peck, all of Harrisonburg; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
