Nicholas William Thompson
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Nicholas William “Nick” Thompson at 11AM Friday, August 12. 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Job Edathinattuith officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home Monroe.
Mr. Thompson was born on October 30, 1984 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed from this life on August 7, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Nick loved to read and write, as well as spend time listening to music. He loved BMX and bike tricks. He and his grandfather Pat shared a love of the outdoors, and a bond as sportsmen. He loved all his family very much; most of all he loved his mother.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents Zephie Curtin and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thompson; and his nephew Mason Lee, Jr.
He is survived by his mother Rebecca Harrington; father Ernest Mason Thompson; grandfather Pat Curtin; siblings Emily Thompson, Mason Thompson, Carly Welker and husband Brian, Robin McDonald and husband Joel, and Aaron Thompson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mason Thompson, Patrick Stephens, Brian Welker, Tim Nguyen, Brandon Bean and Ryan "Hoss" Johnson.
Visitation will be from 10-11AM Friday, August 12. 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
