Mary Sue Slocum
Visitation for Mrs. Mary Sue Slocum of Monroe, LA will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will be at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slocum was born November 10, 1936 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on July 25, 2016 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 79. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and also loved researching genealogy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Slocum and her parents, Ziba and Rosa Patterson.
Survivors include her son, Chad Owens of West Monroe; her daughter, Pam Gremillion of Englewood, FL; her sister, Gloria Joan Osterland of Griffin, GA; her brother, Roger Lee Patterson of Olympia, WA; one granddaughter, Felicia Romero of Choudrant, LA and one grandson Luke Owens of West Monroe, LA; also survived by four great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
